| Specimen: | Blood; (1) Blue (3.2% sodium citrate) top vacutainer tube. |

| Collection: | Specimen uncentrifuged with plasma remaining in the capped tube should be stored at room temperature (18-24°C) and tested within 4 hours of collection. If specimen is centrifuged within one hour of collection, the plasma is separated from the cells and stored for 4 hours refrigerated (2-8°C) or at room temperature (18-24°C). If testing cannot be performed within these time limits, the plasma should be removed from cells and frozen at -20°C for up to two weeks or at -70°C for up to 12 months. |
