| Specimen: | Green (lithium heparin) PST tube or UNOPENED SST (serum separator tube). Whole blood should be analyzed within 15-30 minutes of collection. |

| Minimum Volume: | 500 microL whole blood or heparinized plasma |
| Collection: | Plasma is stable 1 hour at room temperature and 4 hours at 2-8°C when tightly capped and centrifuged. For longer than 4 hours storage, a centrifuged UNOPENED SST (serum separator tube) is acceptable stored at 2-8°C. |
| Rejection Criteria: | Clotted sample; incorrect specimen type; improper labeling. |
