Bilirubin, Urine Qualitative  (U/A (cannot order separately))

Synonyms:  Conjugated Bilirubin, Urine-Qualitative
Specimen:  Urine; random 10mL in a urine container.
                        Volume:  10 mL
Minimum Volume:  500 microL
Collection:  Maintain at room temperature for 2 hours or refrigerate at 2-8°C for 4 hours.
Rejection Criteria:  Obvious contamination; improper labeling.
Reference Range:  Negative
Methodology:  Bayer Atlas or Clinitek 200+
Test Use:  Positive results may be found in any disease process that increases the amount of conjugated bilirubin in the bloodstream.
Additional Information:  Positive screens are confirmed with Ictotest
Testing Includes:  Tests for conjugated bilirubin in urine.
