Specimen: | Urine; 24 hour urine collection in a 24 hour container. Do not use any preservative.
Patient should be instructed how to collect a 24 hour urine. |
Volume: | 10 mL urine aliquot (mix well) |
Minimum Volume: | 1 mL urine |
Collection: | Transport to the laobratory as soon as possible after collection is complete. Urine aliquot may be submitted with documentation of 24 hour volume.
Maintain at room temperature or refrigerate at 2-8°C. |
Rejection Criteria: | Use of preservative; pH less than 6; improper labeling. |
