Potassium, Urine, Quantitative  (POTAS UR24)

Synonyms:  Urine K
Specimen:  Urine; 24 hour urine collected in a 24 hour collection container. Instruct patient on proper 24 hour urine collection procedure. No preservative is added.
                        Volume:  Entire collection or 5 mL aliquot
Minimum Volume:  500 microL aliquot
Collection:  Submit entire collection or a urine aliquot with documentation of 24 hour volume on specimen and request form. Refrigerate at 2-8°C for 7 days; freeze for longer storage.
Rejection Criteria:  Improper labeling.
