Rejection Criteria: | Pre-transfusion specimen labeling criteria not met. |
Reference Range: | Standard dose: Six units. Each unit contains approximately 5.0 x 10(10) platelets suspended in 45-65 ml plasma. |

Test Use: | To improve hemostasis, one unit can be expected to increase platelet count of a 70 Kg adult by 5000-10,000 mL |
