| Specimen: | Blood; (1) Red (no preservative) or Green (heparin) top vacutainer tube. Do Not use an SST tube.
Draw specimen 12 hours after initiating therapy for arrhythmia prophylaxis, then every 24 hours thereafter. Obtain specimens every 12 hours when cardiac or hepatic insufficiency exists.
