Do not use swabs with calcium alginate, cotton tips, or wooden shafts.
For pediatric patients 18 yrs old or younger, use CultureSwab device and submit 2 swabs to permit reflexing of a negative test to a throat culture. |

Collection: | Maintain at room temperature for 8 hours; refrigerate at 2-8°C for 72 hours.
