Test Use: | Detects in vivo coating of IgG and/or complement on red blood cells |
Additional Information: | Positive test associated with hemolytic transfusion reaction, auto immune disease, drug therapy or hemolytic disease of the newborn. |
Testing Includes: | Tests red cells with polyspecific anti human globulin serum. Positive cells are further tested with monospecific anti-IgG. |
