Specimen: | Blood; (1) Purple (EDTA) top vacutainer tube or (2) full Purple mictrotainers. |

Minimum Volume: | 2 Purple microtainers |
Collection: | If specimen is not received in the laboratory within 4 hours of collection, prepare 2 peripheral blood smears.
Specimen is stable for 24 hours at room temperature or 48 hours refrigerated at 2-8°C(peripheral slides must be made). |
Rejection Criteria: | Clotted; hemolysis; specimen age; improper labeling. |
